Is this service right for me?
LCSWs need 100 hours of clinical supervision, over a period of two-years, in order to be eligible to sit for the LICSW exam. Social Work Students pursuing an MSW or BSW require one hour of clinical supervision, weekly.
If you are currently employed as a Social Worker, but without supervision, or your current supervision is not meeting your needs, please keep reading.

Who am I? My name is Elissa. (Nice to meet you! I’m so glad you stopped by.) I am an LICSW and eager to help YOU obtain your LICSW and/or meet the Social Worker Supervision needs of your agency’s interns. My qualifications include over 25 years in the field, providing clinical and macro services to populations across the lifespan, as well as supervising and teaching social work interns and students. Working collaboratively, I am dedicated to providing you and your interns a supportive and rich educational experience, and fostering a learning environment that optimizes each Social Worker’s personal and professional development.
Can I afford this?
Rates for Supervision, Consultation, and Training mirror market rates for private practice. My fee is $150 per hour.
Wait, wait, please, don’t despair. Let’s look at the value:
- Your Supervision includes more than just our face-to-face meeting. You may consult with me via phone, video, or email or send me your case notes or documentation for review. I am happy to continue to support you in between sessions. This is without any additional cost to you.
- You are my priority. I value your time. My role with you is comprised entirely of supervision. Being independent from your employer, I am able to dedicate 100% of the experience to our mutually agreed upon clinical and educational goals.
- Your employer might contribute. Many agencies will offer professional development funds to offset the cost of supervision.
- Your fee may be reduced. Using a sliding scale, the fee for sessions not covered by your employer can be significantly reduced, possibly by as much as two-thirds.
- You are investing in You. One outcome of obtaining your LICSW will be your ability to earn a higher salary. Quality supervision will ultimately help you help others.
